Thelma Lee Stevens Dirr

Thelma Lee Stevens Dirr, 70, of Corbin, passed away Tuesday, October 24, 2017 at Baptist Health Corbin.

Born in Whitley County, Thelma was the daughter of the late Ranzey E. Stevens and Ada Elizabeth Paul Stevens.

She was also preceded in death by her son Wendell Patterson; brothers Charles Stevens, Harold Stevens, Harvey Stevens, and Ranzey Stevens, Jr.; and sister Marie Garland.

Thelma enjoyed fishing and was a nature lover who especially loved animals, birds, and flowers. She was a loving mother and grandmother but her greatest love was for her husband, Terry who loved and cared for her continuously.
She is survived by her husband Terry Dirr; children Melinda Miller (Norman), Denise Martin (Bo), Jennifer Felts (Chuck), and Sherrie Eversole (Dennis); grandchildren Josh, David, Nikki, Justin, Brittany, Jordan, Austin, Kelsi, Dalton, Felicia, Nolan and John; great-grandchildren Jayden, Luna, Cameron and Sophia; brother Richard Stevens (Trudy) of Corbin; and by numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends to mourn her passing.

The funeral service was held Friday, October 27, at Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home with Rev. Jim Cook officiating.

Burial was in the Corinth Cemetery.
