Terry Layne Claxton

Terry Layne Claxton, 68, of Williamsburg, Kentucky departed this life on April 27, 2023 at his home.
He was born on March 28, 1955 in Jellico, Tennessee to the late Edgar Lee Claxton Sr. and Luretha Cope Claxton.
Along with his parents he is preceded in death by two sons, Brian Layne Claxton and Robert Edward Claxton; and one daughter, Judy Ann Powers.
He is survived by his four children, Terry Layne Claxton Jr. and wife Michelle of Williamsburg, Kentucky, Christopher Eric Claxton of Williamsburg, Kentucky, Kendra Michelle Claxton of Williamsburg, Kentucky and Courtney Michelle Claxton of Williamsburg, Kentucky; 13 grandchildren, Desirae Davis, Brittany Levertnz, Austin Osborne, Kristen Claxton, Kelsi Claxton, Brandon Claxton, Taylor Helton, Kenslee Watson, Tessa Smith, Tara Powers, Taneekia Powers, Kianna Martin, and Bosley Martin; several great-grandchildren; mother of his children, Gail Claxton and Shirley Rhinehart; special griend, Angie Wilde; several great-grandchildren; three brothers, Edgar Lee Claxton Jr. of Williamsburg, Kentucky, Ricky Claxton of Williamsburg, Kentucky and Randy Claxton of Williamsburg, Kentucky; one sister, Brenda Claxton (Larry Strickland) of Williamsburg, Kentucky; daughter-in-law, Heather Claxton Lawson of Williamsburg, Kentucky; and several nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends to mourn his passing.
Visitation will be on Monday, May 1, after 6:00 PM at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel.
Funeral service will be Tuesday, May 2, at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Billy Carpenter officiating. Burial will follow the service at the Claxton Family Cemetery.
