Suspect sought in Tuesday night robbery of north Corbin gas station

Police are seeking information on the man in the above surveillance camera image. He robbed the BP gas station in Corbin Tuesday night.
For the third time in the last two months, a north Corbin gas station was the target of an armed robber Tuesday night, and police are seeking the public’s help in solving the case.
According to Laurel County Sheriff John Rood, the BP station at I-75 Exit 29 was robbed at around 9:43 p.m. Tuesday evening. A lone man armed with a silver colored semi-automatic pistol robbed the store clerk of an undisclosed amount of money then fled on foot.
The suspect in the robbery is described as a white male with a gray white beard, stocky build, and was wearing a black hoody, and a blue bandana. Surveillance cameras at the store captured an image of the man and police are hoping it will help identify who is responsible.
Laurel Sheriff’s Detective Daryl Zanet is investigating the case. Assisting at the scene was: Captain Rodney Van Zant, Lieutenant Chuck Johnson, Deputy Robbie Grimes, Detective Billy Madden, Deputy Josh Scott, Deputy Shawn Boroviak, , and Trooper Jason McCowan and his tracking dog, and other KSP Troopers.
