Susie Carr

Susie Carr, 70, of Williamsburg, Kentucky departed this life on January, 2, 2023 at the U.K. Good Samaritan Hospital in Lexington Kentucky.

She was born on March 3, 1952, in Williamsburg, Kentucky to the late Junior Green Hayes and Cassie Bernice (Gibbins) Hayes.

Along with her father she is preceded in death by her daughter, Cassie Jean Gray; sister, Shirley Dees; and brother, Kenneth Hayes.

Susie is survived by her husband, Roy Gene Carr of Williamsburg, Kentucky; one son, Thomas Wayne Gray and wife Wendy of Alabama; three granddaughters, Kanisha Hughey (Chris), Natasha Wisham (Ben), and Chelsea Wagoner (Kody); one great-granddaughter, Ariella Hughey; and mother, Cassie Bernice (Gibbins) Hayes; four sisters, Bonnie Huffman of Williamsburg, Kentucky, Burma Lemmings of Williamsburg, Kentucky, Lillie Elswick of Williamsburg, Kentucky and Mary “Bea” Ingram of Williamsburg, Kentucky; six brothers, Dennis Hayes of Williamsburg, Kentucky, Rick Hayes of Williamsburg, Kentucky, Steve Hayes of Williamsburg, Kentucky, Jimmy Hayes of Tennessee, Danny Hayes of North Carolina and Chris Hayes of Williamsburg, Kentucky; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends to mourn her passing.

Visitation will be at 1:00 pm on Friday, January 6, at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel.

Funeral service will be at 3:00 pm on Friday, January 6, at Croley Funeral Home Chapel in Williamsburg, Kentucky with Rev. Jerry Sester officiating.

Burial will be at the Highland Park Cemetery in Williamsburg, Kentucky following the service.
