‘Survivor’ winner Nick Wilson to be in the corner of Impact Wrestling Champion, fellow contestant Johnny Impact at Homecoming pay per view Sunday
“Survivor” winner Nick Wilson will be reuniting with some of his fellow contestants Sunday – in the wrestling ring.

Williamsburg native Nick Wilson won Survivor in 2018 and the $1 million cash prize.
Officials at Impact Wrestling announced Thursday that Wilson and fellow contestant Davie Rickenbacker would be in the corner of Impact World Champion Johnny Impact when he defends the title at the Impact Wrestling Homecoming pay-per-view event Sunday in Nashville, Tennessee.
While Wilson and Rickenbacker began the 37th season of the hit television show as members of the David tribe, Impact was on the opposing Goliath tribe.
Impact was the seventh contestant voted off the island, surviving 22 days, and served as a member of the jury that cast the final vote to determine the winner.
“I’m really excited that Nick and Davie will be in my corner for the Homecoming pay-per-view match,” Impact said in a statement released by the company. “Although I was rivals with both at the start of ‘Survivor,’ we ultimately became good friends and I know each will have my back. Brian Cage won’t be able to blindside me with Nick and Davie watching my back.”
Homecoming will begin at 8 p.m. eastern time at The Asylum at the Fairgrounds in Nashville.
“I’ve always been a huge wrestling fan,” Wilson said. “When I was a kid, I saved my allowance to buy all the action figures. I watched wrestling every Monday night. It was so cool for me to meet John on Survivor. Now Johnny Impact is my favorite wrestler. I’m super excited I get to watch him defend his IMPACT Wrestling World Championship in person.”
