Southeast South-Central Education Co-op presenting iTeach Palooza event on April 23
Unfortunately, it is not uncommon for professional educators to feel under appreciated these days. The news is filled with headlines about teachers fighting for increased pay and/or better benefits, and the ongoing teacher shortage in Kentucky is a constant point of concern.
The Southeast-South-Central Educational Cooperative (SESC) knows all too well about the struggles that educators are facing each day, and they have decided to do something special for those men and women by hosting the first-ever iTeach Palooza event at the Corbin Arena on April 23.
“Mark your calendars for Tuesday, April 23, as the Arena in Corbin transforms into a beacon of celebration for our hardworking teachers, administrators, and support staff,” read a recent press release from SESC.
The release went on to explain that, starting at 5 p.m. that day, activities including tailgating, games, vendors, food trucks and more will be available for attending teachers, principals, administrators and support staff.
The Palooza will also feature two keynote speakers, with nationally renowned educator Gerry Brooks and “tech-savvy sensation” Brian Buffington both taking the stage to offer some motivational words of wisdom.
All of this and more will be taking place at the Corbin Arena on April 23, so all school employees are encouraged to attend. Additional information on the event can be obtained by visiting www.sesccoop.org.
