The Corbin Redhounds moved back into a tie for second in the district soccer standings with a 3-0 win over the Mountaineers of Oneida Baptist Tuesday in Corbin.
The teams battled to a 0-0 tie in the first half, but Coach Armondo Cima was able to adjust to the Mountaineers defense.
It didn’t take long for the Redhounds to get on the scoreboard when Andrew Webb scored with 37:46 on the clock.
Michael Brown added two goals, one at the 21:58 mark of the game and another three minutes later to give the Redhounds 3-0 lead.
Corbin dominated the offensive side of the field while OBI had only one shot in the second half.
Corbin, who picked up a 7-0 win over the Middlesboro Yellow Jackets last Tuesday are 2-1 in district play. They lost to South Laurel back on August 31 in London.
