SKED reps to speak at Southern Kentucky Chamber of Commerce April membership luncheon
The Southern Kentucky Chamber of Commerce has announced a pair of special guests for its April membership luncheon, taking place Tuesday, April 9, beginning at 11:45 a.m. at the Corbin Center.
Amanda Kelly and Bob Burgess from Southeast Kentucky Economic Development (SKED) will be in attendance at the luncheon to share with attendees how their organization helps to promote economic development and employment opportunities throughout the region.
As Small Business Training Director, Kelly will be delving into SKED’s comprehensive suite of technical assistance programs, which serve as a cornerstone in their mission to facilitate the success of local enterprises. From aiding in strategic hiring processes to demystifying the intricacies of digital marketing, financial management, and strategic expansion planning, SKED’s technical assistance initiatives are tailored to address the diverse needs and challenges faced by businesses at every stage of their journey.
Burgess, who is Director of Lending, will shed light on the pivotal role SKED’s loan programs play in empowering small businesses within our community to thrive and expand. He will also discuss the specifics of how these programs can serve as a catalyst for growth, offering access to vital financial resources that can fuel innovation, expansion, and operational enhancements.
