Shemwell-Steely announce engagement and approaching marriage

Mr. and Mrs. John Shemwell of Trenton announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Amy Beth, to John Steely, son of Mr. and Mrs. Brance Steely Jr. of Williamsburg.
Amy is the granddaughter of Mrs. Sarah Seay of Trenton and the late Tony Seay, and Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Shemwell of Hopkinsville.  She is the great-granddaughter of Mrs. A. Frank Mason of Herndon.
John is the grandson of the late Brance and Sarah Beth Steely of Williamsburg and the late Sylvester and Dorothy Gerke of Cincinnati, Ohio.
The bride-elect is a 2005 graduate of Todd County Central High School. She was a 2009 magna cum laude graduate of the University of the Cumberlands with a Bachelor of Arts in Public Health, and was the winner of the Sullivan Award. She is employed as an Administrative Assistant at Baptist Regional Medical Center in Corbin.
The groom-elect is a 2004 graduate of Williamsburg High School, and received a Bachelor of Science in Middle School Education from the University of the Cumberlands in 2009, where he received the James H. Taylor award. John is employed as a math teacher and boys basketball coach at Williamsburg Middle School.
The wedding is scheduled for Saturday, July 24, 2010, at Trenton Baptist Church at five-thirty o’clock in the afternoon. All friends and relatives are invited to attend the wedding and the reception to follow at the James Bruce Convention Center in Hopkinsville.  Formal invitations are being sent to out-of-town guests, only.
