Russell Wayne Hudson

Russell Wayne Hudson, age 62, of Corbin, Kentucky, departed this life on Tuesday, March 10, 2020 at the Baptist Health in Richmond, Kentucky. He was born on May 29, 1957, in Denver, Colorado, to Carl G. Hudson and Mary Lou (Buckner) Hudson. He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Mary Lou Hudson. He was a veteran serving in the U. S. Air Force and member of Cornerstone Christian Fellowship in Corbin.

He is survived by his wife, Joy Dean Heatwell Hudson of Jellico, Tennessee; daughter, Alicia Clark of Corbin; four grandchildren; two brothers, Michael Carl Hudson of Corbin and Frank William “Bill” Hudson of Corbin; three sisters, Michelle Renee Bennett (Gordon) of Franklin, Tennessee, Terry Sue Hudson of Williamsburg, and Carrie Lou Hudson of Williamsburg; many nieces and nephews, and a host of other family and friends to mourn his passing.

Funeral service was held Saturday, March 14, at Cornerstone Christian Fellowship with the Rev. Bill Hudson officiating. He was laid to rest in the Moore Cemetery on Frankfort School Road. Pallbearers were Chris Hudson, Brian Bennett, Craig Bennett, Joe Hall, Billy Hudson, and Bailey Hudson.

Military Graveside Honors were conducted by the American Legion Post 88 of Corbin, Kentucky.
