Roy Capps

Roy Capps, age 72, formerly of the Pleasant View Community of Williamsburg, Kentucky departed this life on Monday, July 5, 2021 in Wichita Falls, Texas after a hard fought battle with cancer. He was born on April 25, 1949 in Jellico, Tennessee to the late Whyte and Bertha (Bailey) Capps.
Roy is a U.S. Army veteran and served as a combat engineer in the Vietnam War. He spent 25 years as a superintendent in the coal and rock mining industry.
Roy enjoyed spending time with his family. He enjoyed being outdoors and spending time on the water.
He is survived by life partner Neva Kay Seegers of Wichita Falls, TX, and four children, R. Brian Capps (Shannon) of Walton, KY, Tana Culbertson (Adam) of Owenton, KY, Amanda Srakovcic (Chris) of Newburgh, IN, Tasha Reckelhoff (Aaron) of Evansville, IN; 10 grandchildren and one great-grandchild; two brothers, James Capps of Belton Texas and Iva Capps (Faye) of Williamsburg, KY. He will be greatly missed by family and many friends.
The funeral services were held Saturday, July 10 at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel.
