Rosetta Ann Ausmus Byrd
Rosetta Ann Ausmus Byrd, 74, of Jellico, TN passed away Friday, November 9, 2018 at St. Joseph Hospital – Kentucky One Health in Lexington, surrounded by her family.
She was born on October 19, 1944 to the late Harley Ausmus and Evia (Hatfield) Ausmus in Fonde, KY.
She attended Tennessee School for the Deaf in Knoxville, TN.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Tommy Byrd; sister, Charlotte Hicks, and half-brother, Eddie Hatfield.
She is survived by a son, Kenneth Byrd, of Newcomb, TN; three daughters, Patricia Byrd, of Emlyn, Linda Oaks, of Jellico, TN, and Crystal Oaks, of Jellico, TN; ten grandchildren, Tiarra Oaks, of Jellico, TN, Heath Oaks, II, of Jellico, TN, Justin Oaks, of Williamsburg, Colin Oaks, of Williamsburg, Wesley Byrd, of Jellico, TN, Kenneth Wayne Byrd, of Newcomb, TN, LaTasha Byrd, of Newcomb, TN, Michelle Worley, of Williamsburg, Tommy Worley, of Williamsburg, and David Worley, of Williamsburg; eleven great-grandchildren, McKinsey Kay Byrd, Kyson Byrd, Colson Oaks, Nevaeh Oaks, Haley Worley, Treyce Worley, McKayden Byrd, Kyra Worley, Tommy Gene Worley, Jr., Cameron Worley, and David Worley; two sisters, Daisy Pierce and Geneva Hamblin; brothers-in-law, Roscoe Hicks and Jack Pierce; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.
The funeral was held Monday, November 12, at the Cox & Son Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Douglas Hill officiating.
Special music and singing will be provided by the Wolf Creek Missionary Baptist Church Youth Choir.
Burial followed at the High Cliff Cemetery in Clairfield, TN. Pallbearers were Kenneth Byrd, Wesley Byrd, Bill Davis, Zack Lay, Heath Oaks, II, Justin Oaks, and Bill Taylor.
Cox & Son Funeral Home of Jellico was in charge of all arrangements.
