RoseBette Valentine

RoseBette Valentine, 93, of Kelley Court, Corbin, departed this life on Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at the Hillcrest Nursing Home in Corbin.

She was born on November 27, 1924 in Huntington Station, NY to the late Antonio Leonardo Sr. and Providence (Meringola) Leonardo.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, Edward Valentine Sr.; six sisters and two brothers.

She is survived by her son, Edward Valentine and his wife Sharon of Corbin; two grandsons, Eddie Valentine III and his wife Emily of London, and Nathan Valentine and his wife Carrie of Lexington; seven great-grandchildren, Trey, Hailee, Roslyn, Brady, Cate, Emma and Nathan Jr.; sister, Margaret Norman of Huntington, New York; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.

The funeral service was held Thursday, February 22, at the Corbin Presbyterian Church with Rev. Lisa Eye officiating.

She was laid to rest in the Camp Nelson National Cemetery in Nicholasville, following a graveside service on Friday, February 23.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Corbin Presbyterian Building Fund or Food Pantry.
