Rockholds man faces sexual misconduct charge
A Rockholds man is being held in the Whitley County Detention Center in lieu of a $25,000 cash bond after being arrested last week for allegedly having sex with an underage girl.
On July 4, Williamsburg Police Chief Wayne Bird served Timothy J. Ellis, 20, of 314 Barton Hollow, with an arrest warrant charging him with sexual misconduct.
Ellis was arrested about 7:30 p.m. at the Wal-Mart Supercenter in Williamsburg.
Kentucky State Police Detective Mark Allen obtained the arrest warrant on March 30, which was signed electronically by District Judge Fred White.
In the warrant, Allen alleged that from Nov. 30 – Dec. 25, 2011, Ellis unlawfully engaged in sexual intercourse with a 14-year-old victim without that person’s consent. Ellis would have been 19 years old at that time.
