Rockcastle Co. woman accused of robbing woman outside local convenience store
A Rockcastle County woman was arrested Monday morning for allegedly robbing a woman outside a local convenience store.
Laurel County Sheriff’s deputies charged 28-year-old Sabrina Brumagen of Mount Vernon with one count of second-degree robbery in connection with the incident that allegedly occurred outside the store on U.S. 25 in southern Laurel County.
The victim reportedly told deputies that a woman had grabbed her by the neck and forced her to the ground before rifling through her pockets and purse and taking her cash.
Sheriff John Root said through the course of their investigation, deputies developed information on the possible whereabouts of a suspect, leading them to a motel in London.
Acting on that information, deputies located Brumagen and took her into custody.
While at the location, deputies found 24-year-old Jonathan Brumagen of London, charging him with second-degree disorderly conduct, possession of drug paraphernalia, menacing and public intoxication – controlled substances.
Both were lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
Sabrina Brumagen is being held on a $25,000 cash bond, post 10 percent.
Jonathan Brumagen is being held on a $2,500 cash bond.
