Robert Lafayette Cureton
Robert Lafayette Cureton, 75, of 13th Street, Williamsburg, passed away on Wednesday, January 11, 2017 at the Windridge Health and Rehab Center in Crossville, TN.
He was born on July 6, 1941 in Evarts, to the late Robert L. Cureton and Marie Cureton.
He was a Veteran of the United States Army having served over 20 years including Vietnam.
He is survived by his loving wife, Mary Alice Cureton of Williamsburg; his children, Ginny Pittman (Charles) of Clearfield, TN, Charles Robert Cureton (Dana) of Denham Springs, LA, David Mark Powers of Williamsburg, James Matthew Powers (Rebecca) of Williamsburg, Robert L. Cureton IV (Nicole Brunet) of Denham Springs, LA, Diane Alward (Rick) of Williamsburg and Samuel Wesley Cureton (Nicole Rose) of Gonzales, LA; 23 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends to mourn his passing.
The funeral service was held Sunday, January 15, the Croley Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Fred Cummings officiating.
He was laid to rest in the Smith Cemetery in the Louden Community.
Military graveside honors were conducted by the American Legion Post #88 of Corbin.
