Richard C. “R.C.” Perkins
Richard C. “R.C.” Perkins, 78, of Corbin passed away Thursday morning, November 23, 2017 in the home of Michael and Kathy Gibbs.
Born in the Gatliff Community of Whitley County, he was a son of the late Walter and Nancy Perkins. He had worked as a carpenter with Mays Construction Co. Richard enjoyed repairing bicycles and collecting antiques, including toys and model cars. He belonged to Frankfort Baptist Church.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a son Richard Dale Perkins, a sister Eunice Faulkner, and a brother J. B. Perkins.
Survivors include his daughters: Stephanie Patterson (Damon) and Marlene Farley (Charles); a sister Jean Stout (Junior); brother-in-law Fred Faulkner; special friend Velma Angel; friends and caregivers Michael and Kathy Gibbs; special little buddy Malachi Creech; and many other friends and his church family.
The funeral services were held Monday at the Frankfort Baptist Church, with Rev. James Hodge officiating. Burial followed at the Moore Cemetery.
