Reward being offered for information on antiques store robber
Cumberland Valley Crime Stoppers is offering a $500 reward for information leading to the arrest of the man who robbed Ona Whim Antiques and Collectables in Corbin on March 29 and beat the owner, Nancy Chandler.
According to police, the robber is described as 6’2", heavy set, with short dark hair. He was wearing glasses, a dark sweater and white T-shirt.
Though it is unclear what type of vehicle the robber is driving, police are searching for a white Mitsubishi Eagle Talon that was seen leaving the area at a high rate of speed.
In addition to beating Chandler, the robber tazed her multiple times using a pink stun gun.
The robber dropped the tazer as he fled the scene. It has been recovered by Chandler’s son, Mel.
"Guy just tazed, beat and robbed my mother," Mel Chandler posted on his Facebook page soon after the robbery. "He left something behind that I’d like to return to him."
Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to contact Crime Stoppers, (606) 878-CRIM or any other law enforcement agency. You may remain anonymous.
