Regional colleges/universities release president’s, dean’s lists
A number of college students with local ties have been named to the Dean’s List of their respective schools.
Somerset Community College
Somerset Community College has announced the names of the students who have exemplified outstanding academic achievement and therefore have been placed on the President’s List or Dean’s List for the Spring 2024 semester that began on Jan. 8, 2024 and ended on May 5, 2024. Both full-time students and part-time students qualified to have the opportunity to be placed on the President’s list.
Students who maintain a current GPA of a 4.0, while completing a full-time course load (12 or more credit hours in courses numbered 100 level or above, with a course grade of A, B, C, or D, excluding FYE courses) were named to the Full-time President’s Honor List.
Degree-seeking students who have earned at least 12 credit hours from prior terms, currently taking 3 – 11 credit hours and maintain a current GPA of a 4.0 in courses numbered 100 level or above (courses with a grade of A, B, C, or D, excluding FYE courses) were named to the Part-Time President’s Honor List.

Students taking 3 – 11 credit hours (in courses numbered 100 level or above, with a course grade of A, B, C, or D, excluding FYE courses) were named to the Part-Time Dean’s List.

Morehead State University
Corbin’s Liam Rose, Emma Brock, Kathleen Taylor, Shannon Philpot and Alexander Standifer, and Gray’s Logan Carnes have been named to the Spring 2024 Dean’s List at Morehead State University.
To qualify for the Dean’s List, students must have completed at least 12 undergraduate credit hours and earned at least a 3.5 GPA for the current semester.
Morehead State University has now spent two decades as one of the top public universities in the South according to U.S. News & World Report, including the past few years as a Top 20 public regional school.
Lincoln Memorial University
Williamsburg’s Shala Mays and Corbin’s Devika Patil and Haylee Stancil have been named to Lincoln Memorial University’s Dean’s List for the spring semester for 2024.
Over 630 undergraduates were recognized for achieving high academic honors. To be placed on the Dean’s List, the student must be a full-time undergraduate and have a 3.5 or higher grade-point-average for the semester.
Lincoln Memorial University, which is in Harrogate, Tennessee, is a values-based learning community dedicated to providing educational experiences in the liberal arts and professional studies.
