Redhound Theatre presents: ‘The Addams Family’
While most people are familiar with either the duo of John Astin and Carolyn Jones or Raul Julia and Anjelica Houston, who took on the roles of Gomes and Morticia Addams in the television and movie version of, “The Addams Family,” Cameron Wyatt and Jada Graves will bring their own spin to the creepy and cooky family brought to life by Corbin High School’s Redhound Theatre.
The musical, which premiers Thursday night at the Betty Hamilton Center for the Performing Arts Thursday night, features an adult Wednesday Addams, who has returned home with news that she is getting married.
How will the ghoulish family react when they learn that Wednesday’s fiancé is normal?
How will his family react when they meet Wednesday’s parents, brother Pugsley, Uncle Fester, Grandmama, butler Lurch, and, of course, shake hands with, “Thing?”
It isn’t just the living Addams the future in-laws will face.
The cast includes a litany of ghosts of Addams past, whom Uncle Fester has recruited to help to scare away these intruders.
Will love triumph?
Performances of, “The Addams Family,” will be held 7 p.m. Thursday through Saturday and April 26-28.
Tickets are available at the door.
