Ratt, Lita Ford, Great White coming to The Arena
The new Arena manager has booked her first show and it will have the house rockin’ with the sounds of Ratt, Lita Ford, Jack Russell’s Great White, FireHouse and Trixter.
Arena Manager Kristi Balla said the five acts that produced some of the most iconic music of the 80s hair band era will take to the stage on December 17.
“I worked with their booking agency and put together the lineup that I wanted,” Balla said when asked how she succeeded in landing the five acts.
Tickets will go on sale September 17. Prices will start at $30.
“Tickets for the very front row will be $50,” Balla said.
“I wanted to keep the price reasonable so everybody could come out and have fun on a Saturday night.” She said
Balla, who was hired August 22, said she wanted her first booking to depart from the past, noting the last rock show The Arena hosted was Motley Crue in 2009.
“I really wanted to start with something just fun and nostalgic,” Balla said.
“I wanted to get a bunch of fun bands that have never, ever been here, even at NIBROC,” she said.
Balla said The Arena’s entire concert configuration will be available.
“I would like to fill it with 5,800 people if I could,” Balla said.
Balla said she is continuing to work on events for 2017.
“2017 is looking to shape up to be very good to us,” Balla said.
