Police: W’burg man found sitting up in middle of road, slobbering on himself

A Williamsburg man was arrested Wednesday night after state police reported finding him passed out in the middle of a north Corbin street and discovered methamphetamine hidden in his pants as he was processed into the detention center.

William Hall, 34, is facing charges of first-degree possession of a controlled substance – methamphetamine, public intoxication – controlled substance and first-degree promoting contraband.

Trooper Logan Howell stated in the arrest citation that he was called to J. Chessnut Lane off of Byrley Road in response to a complaint of a male subject lying in the roadway.

“When I arrived he was setting up Indian style slobbering on himself,” Howell wrote in the arrest citation. “Above (Hall) had no clue where he was and was manifestly under the influence of drugs.”

Hall was taken into custody and lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Facility.

Howell said when Hall was searched at the jail, a small bag containing methamphetamine was discovered in his pants.

Hall is being held in the correctional facility on a $5,000 cash bond. He is scheduled to be arraigned Friday in Laurel District Court.
