Police searching for suspect in Thursday Subway robbery

Police are looking for a man they say calmly walked into a Subway restaurant on Cumberland Falls Hwy. in Corbin Thursday evening, ordered a sandwich, the brazenly robbed the clerk at gunpoint, giving her a $20 tip before he left.
The incident took place about 6:00 p.m. Thursday at the Subway near I-75 Exit 25. The man — who police say was about 6-0 tall with dark hair and beard, and a pock marked face from acne scars — was captured on surveillance video.
"When the register was open, he told the clerk to put all the cash in the bag with the sandwich and pulled a small handgun from his pocket to show the clerk," said Corbin Public Affairs Officer Major Rob Jones in an official news release.
Police say the man left the restaurant with the money and got into a white, four-door car, believed to be a Pontiac Grand Am.
The clerk was not injured during the incident.
