Police say W’burg father, son linked to numerous burglaries

A Williamsburg father and son are being held in the Whitley County Detention Center in lieu of $25,000 cash bonds for allegedly burglarizing a residence late last month, and police are planning to charge a third family member in connection with the case.
About 3:15 p.m. Friday, Williamsburg Police Chief Wayne Bird charged Bradley J. Wilson, 31, with two counts of second-degree burglary.
About 5 p.m. Friday, Detective Bobby Freeman charged Wilson’s father, Dewey Elmer Wilson, 57, with second-degree burglary and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
Judge Cathy Prewitt entered a not guilty plea on behalf of both men during their arraignments Monday morning in Whitley District Court.
She scheduled Sept. 19 preliminary hearings in their cases, and appointed the public advocate’s office to represent both men.
On Aug. 30, Bradley Wilson and two other people allegedly burglarized the residences of Eugene Siler III and Peggy Culver, according to an arrest citation.
Bird said that there were four burglaries in the city over a two to three hour time period.
"They are suspects in at least two to three more burglaries," he added.
On Sept. 8, Williamsburg police served a search warrant at 1345 Ralph Lane, which is where both Bradley and Dewey Wilson reside, Bird said.
Police discovered a pill bottle in the residence, which had Siler’s name on it and had come from his residence when it was burglarized, Freeman wrote on an arrest citation.
"This subject was with and had knowledge about the burglary," Freeman wrote on Dewey Wilson’s arrest citation.
Freeman also discovered a Winchester rifle in a case under the front porch of Dewey Wilson’s residence, according to the citation.
Bird said that authorities want to question Todd Wilson, who is Dewey Wilson’s son and Bradley Wilson’s brother, in connection with the case.
Police don’t know Todd Wilson’s whereabouts, but plan to obtain an arrest warrant for him Wednesday, Bird said.
He is asked to turn himself in. Anyone with information about his whereabouts is asked to contact Williamsburg police at 549-6087 or 549-6017.

How many dope addicts and pushers are involved in robbing homes which leads to murder! These people who do this need not prison but hard work camps?
i went to the police station with jane butcher my attorney and his poor dad is as innicent as he can be . the pill bottle found had to be planted by someone because a freind had just cleaned the whole house and there was no pill bottles to be found at the residents.this had to be planted by someone else and as far as brad wilson he is innocent try to get the real one thats the blame dave davis.that is still walking free in whitley co.
