Police recover gun, drugs that were hidden inside woman’s bra

Police say a Woodbine woman had a gun and drugs in her bra when she allegedly ran from police Sunday.

Lisa Johnson is accused of hiding drugs and a gun in her bra.

Williamsburg Police Officer Greg Rhoades charged Lisa Gail Johnson, 41, of Dowis Chapel Road, with 11 offenses, including: first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance-meth, two counts of third-degree possession of a controlled substance, carrying a concealed deadly weapon, possession of drug paraphernalia, giving an officer false identifying information, second-degree fleeing or evading police and other related offenses.

Rhoades stopped Johnson’s 2014 blue Ford truck at the intersection of US25W and Highway 92W for a busted windshield.

Johnson allegedly gave officers a false name, had 11 white pills in the floorboard of her truck, and half of a Xanax bar in her purse, according to an arrest citation.

Johnson also allegedly ran from Williamsburg Police Officer John Fulton on foot, and had a .22 caliber pistol and a baggie of meth in her bra, Rhoades wrote on the arrest citation.

In addition, police found a set of scales and small baggies inside a small black baggie, a citation stated.

Johnson was lodged in the Whitley County Detention Center.

She pleaded not guilty to the charges during her arraignment Monday morning in Whitley District Court.

Judge Fred White appointed the public advocate’s office to represent her, scheduled an Aug. 6 preliminary hearing and set a $25,000 cash bond.
