Police pursue, finally capture burglarly suspect in south Corbin
Burglary suspect Michael Rednour learned that you can’t outrun the radio when you are wanted by law enforcement.
Kentucky State Police Troopers and vehicle enforcement officers had surrounded a residence in North Corbin Thursday night in their effort to apprehend Rednour, 21, who was wanted for first-degree burglary and had an outstanding warrant.
Officials at the Laurel County Detention Center said the warrant was for failing to appear in court on a traffic violation.
According to authorities, Rednour ran from the scene of an accident near Queen Hill in north Corbin. They pursued him for over an hour.
As officers waited, they heard over the radio that Corbin Police had taken Rednour into custody on the other side of Corbin on South Main Street.
"I had heard them give a description of him and was driving by and saw him," said Corbin Police K-9 Officer Coy Wilson who had detained Rednour in the parking lot of Corbin Towing and Recovery at the intersection of South Main Street and Kentucky Ave.
Rednour was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center on a $10,000 bond.
