Police again cracking down on sex acts at 312 boat ramp

In response to an increasing number of complaints of public sexual activity, Corbin Police have stepped up their patrols at the Ky. 312 boat ramp. Those efforts paid off Monday afternoon as Officer Steve Meadors arrested a man who was allegedly sitting on a picnic table with his genitalia hanging out of the leg of his shorts.
Michael W. Kennedy, 49, of Corbin, was charged with one count of indecent exposure and lodged in the Whitley County Detention Center.
Meadors said about 12:30 p.m., Corbin Police Chief David Campbell and Colonel Bruce Rains were patrolling the area when they came across Kennedy. When Kennedy stood up, officers said he had large holes in the back of his shorts, exposing his butt cheeks.
"I reckon it is back on the Internet as a place for homosexuals to hook up," Corbin Police Captain Rob Jones said, noting officers and U.S. Forest Service personnel have made regular efforts to crack down on that type of activity.
Jones said in April, Forest Service officials noted a resurgence in the number of complaints and requested an increased police presence. Corbin Police responded, as officers now routinely sweep through the area during their shifts.
"Forest Service got up with us and we stepped up the patrols," Jones said.

This 312 are is a disgrace to our communtiy and i am glad the police are FINALLY taking the effort to do somethinga bout it. why dont they put someone up there all the time to run off the gay men who go there to do their disgusting filth in front of everyone? we need tourists in corbin but not taht kind.

I also wish we could simply pay a security gaurd (in need of a job) a decent wage to monitor any sexual, or otherwise inappropriate, behavior in the park, and free up our police officers to spend more time observing, gathering data, and prosecuting the over-active thiefs and sellers of meth and pills (clearly coming from the Floridia pill pipeline) in the Tri-County area. I’m just saying… 🙂

It is nice to know that we have so many Christians and they come out of the woodwork on issues such as gay, abortion, etc. It would be nice to see them as active helping the poor, attending church, etc.

God did not make people gay. He also did not make us liars, adulters, haters, etc. People choose to be these things. We all like to lie or gossip, but we all should try not to. Some people like to be gay and then do so. It is wrong. It is a sin and God does hate sin because sin destroys a person. Laura, I was sorry to read what you had to say about me , mostly because you have no idea what you are talking about. most of the gays that I have heard or are also child molesters. So save your prayer for yourself I don’t need them. How can you call your self a christain but yet take up for what is wrong acording to God
I wouldnt condone straight or gay sex at the park, period. No Im not gay, I am a heterosexual, christian female and the gays that I know are more honest and upstanding than most of the so called christians, like “john” on this forum. What about all the “straight” ppl. who r having sex at the park, i’ve seen older male female couple’s and young kids parked having sex in the parking lot there. I guess that’s alright since there “straight” you never here of any “straight” ppl. being arrested there.
If you take up for queers you are more than likely queer yourself. If you know God you know it’s not right to be a homo. God made different races, God also made two sexes Not three. One bad thing about 312 boat dock is a decent person is even affraid to go the, for the fear of what other people would think of you. I know a lot of people who won’t use 312 boat ramp because of what is going on over there.
If the police maybe the churches and the people of Corbin should a stop to it by haveing regular picnics and meetings there to let the gays know that what they are doing is NOT EXCEPTED.
Gay bashing is not an appropriate response to this news item. This deplorable behaviour would be equally disgusting if the participants were straight.
This has been going on for years. I recently noticed a green sign that was hanging off the 312 bridge that pointed the way to a gay activity going on at 312. The homo logo was present and those type of people always gravitate to that area. What really gets me about gay people wanting to be treated as equals is the lengths they will go to get sex and then they claim they are being mistreated or abused. Homosexuality is not a normal way of life, no matter who says it is. All relgions teach procreation and not the recreation sex. God created Adam and Eve not Adam and Steve.
It is disgusting acts like this that make people dislike and distrust homosexuals, who would want behavior like this around children.
