I’m grumpy.  I’m bored. I hate my house.  I’m tired of eating my own cooking. If my phone rings and someone says they have the wrong number, I keep them on the line for several minutes because I’m tired of talking to myself. 

Jerry and Dorothy Gabbard of Corbin are pleased to announce the marriage of their daughter, Brittany Leah, to Jason Rodney Hale.

Mackenzie Lee Grove and Jeffery Warren Ledford were united in marriage on Wednesday, Dec. 29, 2010.

It was snowing heavily and blowing to the point that visibility was almost zero when the young lady got off work. She made her way to the car and wondered how she was going to make it home.

I wish that everyone has a healthy, happy and prosperous New Year filled with light and love. 

Paul and Judy Gambrell of Corbin celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Friday, Dec. 31, 2010.

It’s a let down we experience at this time every year.  All of the hoop-la is over.  Nothing to look forward to except the long dreaded winter.
