Kentucky State Police say fog and low visibility were factors in the death of a Corbin man who was hit by a car while walking along U.S 25E in Gray.
According to police, the pedestrian, later identified as Jamie Nolan, 44, was walking in the northbound lane of the highway about 6:25 a.m. Wednesday when he was hit and killed by Paul Hensley’s 2005 Dodge Stratus.
Nolan was pronounced dead at the scene by Knox County Coroner Mike Blevins.
Police do not suspect drugs or alcohol to be a factor, but blood and urine samples have been sent for testing. Trooper Jay Sowders is continuing the investigation.
