ONLY ONLINE: Ten-year-old boy injured in crash in Gray Monday

A 10-year-old boy had to be extricated from the car in which he was riding after it was broadsided while attempting to cross U.S. 25E in Gray Monday night.
According to Deputy Adam Townsley, Freda Hensley was trying to cross the highway at the intersection with Ky. 233 in her Silver Toyota Celica. As she pulled out, she was hit by Holly Griffith in her Pontiac Grand Am. Griffith’s car continued forward, striking a Chevrolet pickup truck in the parking lot of Grab ‘n Go Market.
Griffith and boy were both airlifted from the scene. However, Townsley had not information on which hospital they was airlifted to or what their condition was.
Hensley and a small child from Griffith’s vehicle were both taken to Baptist Regional Medical Center.
Townsley said neither drugs nor alcohol were factors in the wreck.
West Knox Firefighters and Knox County EMS assisted at the scene.
