One arrested, three others sought in Lynn Camp High burglary
One person has been arrested in connection with a break-in and theft at Lynn Camp High School last Wednesday, and charges are pending against three others, state police said Tuesday.
Brian Mills, 20, of Gray, was charged with third-degree burglary and felony theft over $300 on Monday following an investigation by Kentucky State Police.
According to Harlan KSP Post 10 Public Affairs Officer Walt Meachum, Mills, along with three others, and a small child, entered the school through an unlocked back door last Wednesday. The door was unlocked due to a power outage in the area caused by high winds.
Once inside, the alleged burglars took basketball equipment and a video camera. The items had a total value of $1,400.
Meachum said burglary and theft charges are pending against the three others involved in the break in, as well as charges for endangering the welfare of a minor.
Mills was lodged in the Knox CountyJail.
The case is still under investigation by KSP Trooper Jay Sowders.
