Official schedule for NIBROC released
The official schedule for Corbin’s 69th Annual NIBROC Festival has been announced.
“I think everyone is ready to return to our festival after being off last year,” said Bruce Carpenter, the executive director of the Southern Kentucky Chamber of Commerce. “We are just excited to having the festival return this year, and we look forward to a good turnout from folks in our community.”
The Carnival will kick off the four-day event with ride all you want $10 armband night at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug 11.
Thursday will see the opening of the Beer Garden at Sanders Park at 5 p.m.
The Pepsi NIBROC Volleyball Tournament will kickoff at 6 p.m. on Thursday with the NIBROC parade scheduled to start at 7 p.m.
Thursday night’s live entertainment will include Kelly Caldwell & Kashmere at 7:30 p.m. and Sydney Adams at 9:30 p.m.
The NIBROC cornhole tournament will begin at 6 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 13 near Tomahawks.
Races to determine the fastest kid in town and the NIBROC two-mile run will start at 7 and 8 p.m. respectively at Corbin High School.
Friday’s free entertainment includes the Aaron Walker Band and Rhythm City Groove, who will take the stage at 7:30 and 9:30 p.m. respectively.
The final day of the festival will start bright and early with the conclusion of the NIBROC volleyball tournament at 8 a.m.
At 10 a.m., the 3-on-3 basketball tournament will start at Princess Vermillion McBurney Rec Center.
Saturday’s free entertainment will include My Finest Hour taking the stage at 7:30 p.m. and County Wide closing out the night at 9:30.
