‘The Nutcracker’ ballet coming to Corbin Saturday

‘The Nutcracker’ ballet will have two shows in Corbin Saturday.

The Fine Arts Association of Southeastern Kentucky, Inc. presents The Nutcracker, Saturday, November 19, 2016, 2:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. at the Corbin High School Auditorium.

A perennial holiday favorite returns in an enchanting production that will be treasured by every member of the family. Presented by Lexington Ballet Company, and set to the timeless music of Peter Ilyich Tchaikovsky,

The Nutcracker tells the delightful story of a little girl who is given a magical nutcracker doll on Christmas Eve.

She encounters the frightful Rat King before embarking on a journey through the Land of Snow and the Kingdom of Sweets.

Lexington Ballet Company performs this beautiful masterpiece under the artistic direction of Luis Dominguez and will be joined by students from the Gail Frederick School of Dance and The Dance Centre.  It’s a production sure to put you in the Christmas spirit! There will be two performances of this show.
