Numerous trunk-or-treats, Halloween alternatives planned in Whitley Co.
Looking for an alternative to Halloween or would you just like to find another time besides Halloween night to go trick-or-treating or trunk-or-treating as it may be?
If so, then you are in luck as several local churches and organizations are sponsoring trunk-or-treat parties, fall festivals and various other activities for the youngsters in the coming days.
Here is a partial list of the events taking place that the News Journal assembled from posts on the City of Williamsburg and Corbin Tourism Commission’s Facebook pages plus one or two others that we were aware of, including:
Wednesday, Oct. 25
• Crouches Creek Missionary Baptist Church (127 E. High School Lane, Jellico, Tennessee) Trunk-or-Treat starting at 6 p.m.
Friday, Oct. 27
• Eastern Kentucky University (EKU) Corbin Campus Trunk-or-Treat from 4 – 6 p.m.
Saturday, Oct. 28
• Bethlehem Baptist Church (Tidal Wave Road, Corbin) Trunk of Treats from noon – 2 p.m.
• Trunk-or-Treat at the Water Park (Williamsburg) from noon – 2 p.m.
• Cumberland Falls State Resort Park Trunk-or-Treat from noon – 3 p.m.
• Sanders Creek Church of God (460 Letha Petrey Road) Fall Fest starting at 5 p.m.
Sunday, Oct. 29
• Main Street Baptist Church (Williamsburg) Fall Festival from 6 – 8 p.m.
Tuesday, Oct. 31
• Calvary Missionary Baptist Church (103 Savoy Clear Creek Road, Williamsburg) Trunk-or-Treat from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m.
• First Baptist Church (Williamsburg) Candyland from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m.
• Forcht Bank (Williamsburg) Truck-or-Treat from 5:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.
• Grace Christian Fellowship Trunk-or-Treat from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m.
• Highland Park Missionary Baptist Church (840 Old Corbin Pike, Williamsburg) Trunk-or-Treat from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m.
