Norma Jean Powers Crawford

Norma Jean Powers Crawford, age 94, of Nevisdale, Kentucky passed away on January 25, 2022 at Homestead Post-Acute in Lexington, Kentucky, following a long battle with Alzheimer.
Jean was born April 19, 1927, in Whitley County, Kentucky, to the late Lida Powers and Pearl Duff Powers.
In addition to her parents, Jean was also preceded in death by a sister, Mary O. Powers, her husbands, Joel S. Campbell, Jr. and Marshall Crawford, daughter-in-law, Janice Wilson Crawford.
Jean graduated valedictorian from Gatliff High School and attended Cumberland College. She worked as a secretary in Pontiac, Michigan, in a processing plant in Toledo, Ohio, and later in life worked as a clerk at Perkins General Store for several years. Jean enjoyed reading her Bible, gospel music, and doing word search puzzles. Her favorite things were sunsets over the mountain tops, flowers in spring, and waterfalls.
Jean was a life-long member of the Baptist church being baptized on September 7, 1941. She was a kind-hearted individual who was always willing to lend a helping hand.
Jean is survived by her children: Sandra Campbell Wilson of Annville, Kentucky, and R. Keith Crawford and wife, Melinda, of London, Kentucky. Jean is also survived by four grandchildren: Darren Wilson and wife Carrie, Todd Wilson and wife Laura, Ryan Wilson, and Nick Crawford and wife Jamie; nine great-grandchildren: Dwight, Tyler, Jordan, Baylee, Reagan, Rylee and Ryan Mason Wilson and Natalie and Callie Crawford.
A going home celebration will be held on Friday, January 28, at 2:00 P.M. at the Croley Funeral Home with Rev. Rick Croley officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00 P.M. Friday until the funeral hour. Interment will be at the Highland Cemetery, Croley Addition, in Williamsburg.
Pallbearers will be Nick Crawford and Darren, Todd, Ryan, Thomas Wilson and Tyler Wilson.
