‘Night of prayer’ to be held at Laurel County jail

Laurel County Jailer Jamie Mosley says that drugs has contributed in some way to each of the more than 450 inmates that are currently housed in the Laurel County Correctional Facility.

Mosley is asking the community to come together in prayer in an effort to change that.

At 7 p.m. Tuesday night, area residents are welcome and encouraged to join the staff at the jail for a night of prayer.

“We hope to have enough people to form a prayer change all the way around each floor of the jail as we pray for those addicted, their families, victims of crime, and our staff that work under difficult circumstances,” Mosley stated.

Mosley said local pastors are also welcome and encouraged to attend and be available for anyone requesting individual prayer.
