Nibroc is here and you won’t believe this!
I am barely an hour into my workday on Thursday morning and I am already excited about this year’s Nibroc Festival, and with good reason.
I knew when I saw the detour sign sending me to Poplar St. that Nibroc ’09 had officially arrived, but there two other things that excite me even more about the festival. The first is the fact the news Journal is holding the inaugural Corn hole tournament starting Friday at 7 p.m., and the second is the fact I will be in the Corbin Baseball Booster’s dunking booth today at 5 p.m.
You heard me right, so if you have or have had a beef with me in the past, today is your chance to sort of get even and, to make things even better, the money will go to worthy cause.
Bob O’Neill and Tim Barnes have put this event together and were kind enough to give me the complete list of those who have volunteered their time throughout the three-day event. The booth will be next to the Depot on Main so come down and help support Corbin High School and their new baseball coach Rob Ledington.
And if that’s not your thing, come downtown anyway and enjoy the festivities. It’s a lot of fun if you want it to be, plus they have some awesome food!
Here is the list of those who will be in the booth so pick someone you’d like to drench and come throw a few balls.
