New details: Ring brought in two pounds of meth every 2-3 days for a year

Laurel County Sheriff’s deputies and other local, state and federal law enforcement agencies seized drugs, guns and explosives while shutting down what is a believed to be a multiple pound methamphetamine trafficking operation in southern Laurel County/north Corbin late last week thanks in part to two arrests, according to a sheriff’s department release and federal court documents.

Dustin Bice and Jalen Pasley were recently arrested in connection with a multi-pound methamphetamine ring in southern Laurel County.

The drug trafficking operation had allegedly been bringing in about two pounds of methamphetamine every two to three days since January 2021 at a price of about $3,500 per pound, a “source of information” told investigators, according to an affidavit filed in U.S. District Court in London.

Also, a speeding ticket that one of the defendants received less than one week earlier helped authorities identify what vehicle to look for on I-75 when an alleged delivery was being made on Jan. 26, according to a review of court records.
