Nellie Estelle Bowlin McCullah

Nellie Estelle Bowlin McCullah, 98, of Cemetery Road, Williamsburg, departed this life on Monday, September 18, 2017 at her home.

She was born December 24, 1918 in Jellico, to Byrd Bowlin and Maetta (Martin) Bowlin.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Byrd and Maetta Bowlin; husband, Boyd Clyde McCullah; daughters, Rose Edith Paul, Carolyn Thrasher, and Henrietta “Henri” Furchtenicht; son, Jack McCullah; and grandchildren, Greg McCullah, Lisa Ann Blakely, Scott McCullah, and Beth Ann Barnhill.

She is survived by seven children, Ella Betsy Couture of Sylvania, OH, R.L. McCullah (wife Jewelene), Goldie Blakely, Birdie McCullah, Joyce Huddleston (husband Gilbert), Evelyn McCullah-Brennenstuhl (husband Phil) and Gail Buck (husband David), all of Williamsburg; 29 grandchildren; several great and great great grandchildren; special nephew, Virgil Bowlin and wife Rieta; several nieces and nephews and a host of other family and friends to mourn her passing.

Visitation will be after 5 p.m., Thursday, September 21, at Croley Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday, September 21, at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tom Matney and Rev. Jerome McCullah officiating.

She will be laid to rest in the Croley Addition of Highland Cemetery.
