Morris Edward Hamby

Morris Edward Hamby, age 80, of Williamsburg, Kentucky departed this life on Saturday, May 27, 2023 at his home surrounded by his wife of over 61 years, Wilma Sue Hamby.
He was born on October 1, 1942 to the late Frank and Margie (Cheeks) Hamby in Williamsburg, Kentucky.
Along with his parents Morris is preceded in death by two brothers, Eugene Hamby and James Hamby; and one sister, Shirley Lawson.
Morris is survived by wife, Wilma Sue (Hill) Hamby of Williamsburg, Kentucky, two daughters, Donna Lloyd and husband Kenny of Ross County, Ohio and Kimberly Burst and husband Matthew of Cincinnati, Ohio; nine grandchildren, Eric Burst and wife Erin, Alicia Burst, Alexis Burst, Ashley Leichter and husband Stephen, Allison Burst, Abbey Burst, Alexis Burst, Christopher Lloyd and wife Melissa, Jessica Lloyd and Kayla Thompson and husband Cody; nine great-grandchildren, Cooper Burst, Elijah Burst, Matthew Grubbs, Josette Leichter, Morgan Leichter, Candace Lloyd, Remington Thompson, Lyza Faye Lloyd and Christian Lloyd; two sisters, Faye Bayes and husband Tim of Williamsburg, Kentucky and Ruth Davis of Williamsburg, Kentucky; two brothers, Wayne Hamby and wife Debbie of Cincinnati, Ohio and Raymond Hamby and wife Marlo of Cincinnati, Ohio; several nieces and nephews and a host of other family and friends to morn his passing.
Funeral service was Thursday, June 1, at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Steve Sutton officiating.
Burial was in the Freeman Cemetery on Hanging Rock Road.
Matthew Burst, Kenny Lloyd, Eric Burst, Christopher Lloyd, Jonathon Hill, Greg Hamby, Cody Thompson, and Stephen Leichter served as pallbearers.
