Miss Nibroc initiates First Annual Gift of Glamour Prom Dress Drive
A few good hearted people care enough for others to actually do something to make a difference in people’s lives, and 18-year-old Miss Nibroc, Bailee O’Kuma, of Corbin, is just one of those people.
Concerned that some young ladies may not be able to go to their prom, Bailee started an initiative, the First Annual Gift of Glamour Prom Dress Drive, to help make sure all area young ladies are able to experience the joys of their prom.
Bailee isn’t working the drive alone. She has several other friends and family who are assisting.
The dress drive was created to provide prom dresses and accessories to high school girls in the Tri-County Area, for free. The event is scheduled to be held on March 31st at the Corbin Center from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

“It’s the little things in life that can make the biggest difference,” said Bailee.
She invites anyone who may have an old prom dress, formal dress or snowball dress (long or short) they don’t plan to use anymore, or which are just simply taking up space in the closet, to consider donating them to this drive.
Anyone who donates an item will get a $10 gift certificate to Southern Glitz Boutique.
She stresses that all sizes of dresses, and shoes will be needed as well as costume jewelry and accessories.
To donate your gently used prom dresses, shoes, jewelry or other accessories, drop the items at Southern Glitz Boutique located at 916 Master St, in Corbin. Southern Glitz Boutique is sponsoring the drive.
“This is an opportunity for local businesses and people of the community to gift many of our glamorous girls in our community,” said Bailee as she extended the invitation to businesses, such as hair salons, make-up studios, etc., to donate gift certificates for the cause.
Applications for students may be obtained online through the Facebook page or in the youth service centers at the schools.
