Minnie J. Peace McKiddy-Hinton

Minnie J. Peace McKiddy-Hinton, daughter of Henry Edd and Hattie Riggs-Peace of Siler, passed away on Tuesday morning, Jan. 31, 2017 at Kettering Medical Center in Dayton, OH.

Minnie was retired from the Whitley County School system where she was employed as a secretary for several years.

She was a member of Big Poplar Creek Missionary Baptist Church.

Minnie was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Tony McKiddy, Sr.; husband, Eugene Hinton; sisters Julia Ellen Young (Fred), Ida Reynolds (Obie) of Toledo, OH.; (infant sister) Pearlie May Peace and brother, Howard A. Peace of Sacramento, CA.
She is survived by her brother, Rev. George Peace (the late Emmadean Peace) of Siler; daughter, Barbara McKiddy Akins (the late Ron Akins, Sr.) of Franklin OH.; son, Tony McKiddy, Jr. (Vivian) of Carlisle, OH; grandchildren, Ron Akins, Jr, Ronda Akins-Nisbet (Paul), Pamela McKiddy, Jesse Stephen McKiddy (Amy); great grandchildren, Sarah Elizabeth, Glenn Kaitlyn, Amanda Marie (Addison), Mason Brent, Grant Edward, Andrew Stephen and Benjamin Jesse; one great-great grandson, Winston Parker; several cherished nieces and nephews and a host of other family and friends to mourn her passing.

The funeral service was held Saturday, February 4th at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jimmy McKiddy officiating.

She was laid to rest at the Peace Family Cemetery in Siler.
