Michael Wayne Lay

Michael Wayne Lay, age 51, of Williamsburg, Kentucky departed this life on March 2, 2023 at the Baptist Health in Corbin, Kentucky.
Michael was born on February 18, 1972 in Corbin, Kentucky to Harold Lay and Glenda (Kitts) Lay.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Glenda (Kitts) Lay Fredericks; grandfathers, Edward Kitts and Marvin Lay; and grandmothers, Retha Rose Lay and Beula Kitts.
Michael is survived by his wife of over 30 years, Anna (Lawson) Lay of Williamsburg, Kentucky; three children, Mike Lay, Jared Reeder, and Dustin Lay, all of Williamsburg, Kentucky; four grandchildren, Bryden Lay, Gracelynn Lay, Macie Lay, and Hadligh Lay; father, Harold Lay of Williamsburg, Kentucky; two brothers, Harold Edward Lay and Stanley Dean Lay, both of Williamsburg, Kentucky; sister, Nicole Lay of London, Kentucky; stepfather, Charles Kelly Fredericks; father and mother-in-law, Rev. Ewell “Jamup” Lawson and Janie Lawson of Williamsburg, Kentucky; several nieces and nephews and a host of other family and friends to mourn his passing.
Michael had a host of many friends that he considered family, whom he enjoyed spending time with.
Visitation will be 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM on Monday, March 6, at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, March 7, at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ewell “Jamup” Lawson and Rev. Billy Carpenter officiating.
He will be laid to rest in the Keswick Cemetery-Lay Family Addition.
