Maynes named administrator at Corbin Health and Rehabilitation
After six years as an occupational therapist, Lance Maynes MS, OTR/L, RAC-CT has taken over as administrator at Corbin Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Maynes started his career at Barbourville Health and Rehabilitation before serving as director of rehabilitation at Corbin for five years.
In his new role as administrator, Maynes said, “I work with all of the directors of the departments here to coordinate the best care that we can provide for our residents, to work with the families of the residents that are here and to work with the community – to serve them as best as we can.”
One of the aspects of his job Maynes looks forward to is learning more about the staff on a personal level.
“We want them to be the best version of themselves, achieve the goals that they want to achieve so we can provide the best care we can for our residents here. This role provides me the opportunity to learn more of the staff on that type of level to help them grow,” said Maynes.
Maynes said that he transitioned from director of rehabilitation to the administrator role because, “I wanted a new challenge, and an opportunity to help more people. My previous role, the department was a little bit smaller – a little bit more intimate that way – and then I worked with the residents and their families. In this role, my work family has grown a whole lot with all the departments, and it just provides a better opportunity to help more people and to help each other grow professionally.”
Dec. 20 was Maynes first day in his new role.
