May Day winners announced, will be crowned Friday (May 6)

MaryAlice Rose McVey will be crowned 2022 May Day Queen during the May Day Festival Friday at The Corbin Arena. Ella Dawn Smith will be crowned 2022 May Day Tiny Queen.
The winners of Corbin’s May Day Festival have been determined.
MaryAlice Rose McVey, the 16-year-old daughter of John and Heather McVey, will be crowned the 2022 May Day Queen during the Ossoli Club of Corbin’s 79th May Day Festival, which will take place on Friday, May 6.
Ella Dawn Smith, the six-year-old daughter of Christopher Zachary Smith and Dr. Chelsea Dawn Smith, is this year’s Tiny Queen.
After the votes were tallied Friday afternoon, the following young ladies make up the Queen’s court: first runner up, Caroline Steely; second runner up, Gracelyn Fox; third runner up, Sydney Dixon; fourth runner up, Claire Price; fifth runner up, Josie Elizabeth Bailey; and sixth runner up, Kennedie Guiher.
Completing the court, (in alphabetical order) are attendants Adrianna Arcure, Kennedi Blair, Jules Deal, Camille Greer, Lauren Mattyson Hamilton, Emily Holcomb, Taylor Nantz, Parker Osborne, Laylah Stallworth and Kella Wyatt.
The Tiny Queen’s court is as follows: first runner up Julia Quinn Cox, second runner up Whitley Savannah Roaden, third runner up Evelyn Moore DiFebo, and fourth runner up
Mia Elisabeth Rutland.
Tiny Queen attendants (in alphabetical order) are: Harper Noelle Ellison, Rosanna Christine Fields and Cary Jo White.
The May Day Festival is sponsored annually by the General Federation of Women’s Clubs (GFWC) Kentucky Ossoli Club of Corbin. This year’s festival will be held at The Corbin Arena at 7 p.m. on Friday.
