Marvin R. Powers

Marvin R. Powers, 57, of College Street, Corbin, KY. formally of Williamsburg, KY., departed this life on August 25, 2021 at the Baptist Health – Corbin. Marvin was born on July 2, 1964 to the late Marlyon “Rex” Powers and Louise (Lawson) Powers. He was also preceded in death by his mother Helen (Jones) Powers.
He is survived by wife, Sarah Smith Powers of Corbin, KY.; three sisters, Annita Brown and husband Greg of Cincinnati, Ohio; Tonya McCullah and husband Ernie of Williamsburg, KY.; Sonya Wilson and husband Joe of Williamsburg KY.; one grandson, Benico (Benny) Manuel Garcia of Corbin, KY.; three nephews, Chris Brown, Nick Brown, and Austin Wilson; Marvin is also survived by a host of other family and friends to mourn his passing.
Funeral services were held on Sunday, August 29, at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Keith Decker officiating.
The burial was in the Upper Powers Cemetery on Highway 904 in Williamsburg, KY.
