Margaret Loraine (Proffitt) Moore

Margaret Loraine (Proffitt) Moore, born April 21, 1932, in Harlan County, passed away peacefully in Riverview, MI, on November 2, 2018, surrounded by family.

Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, Edward P. Moore; her parents, Joseph M. Proffitt and Dessie (Shelley) Proffitt Tuttle; sisters, Edna Wilma Carroll, Mary Ada Ridener, and Virginia Latane Frazier; and brother, Joseph Andrew Proffitt.

She is survived by sons, Joseph E. Moore (Kathy) and Tommy C. Moore (Christine); her grandchildren, Joseph Moore II (Vicki), Jason Moore (Gina), Jennifer Moore-Truba (Frank), and Nicole Moore-Brown (Alan); 12 great grandchildren and a great-great granddaughter; as well as other relatives and numerous friends to mourn her passing.

Funeral services were held Thursday, November 8, in the Hart Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor James Hodge officiating.

Burial followed at McFarland Cemetery in Corbin.
