Lorene Miracle

Lorene Miracle, age 86, of Corbin, Kentucky, passed away on Sunday, May 16, 2021 at home surrounded by her loving family.

Wonderful mother, wife, grandmother, sister, and friend. She brought a smile with her laughter, joy with her storytelling, and wisdom with her earthly knowledge. Lori loved Corbin and most importantly, people. She will be deeply missed by all who loved and knew her.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Miracle; parents, James Smith and Ida Whitaker McQueen; brothers, Denver Smith, and James Smith and wife Linda; and by her brothers-in-law, Rex Fredericks, Wallace Fightmaster, and Carl Anderson.

Lori is survived by her two daughters: Lisa Stephens, husband Warren, and Lana Lowe, husband Tim; grandchildren: Travis Shepherd, wife Rebecca and daughter Olivia Grace, Jenay Hayes, husband Shawn, son Isaiah Ray and daughter Gracelyn Lorene, and Joseph Lowe, wife Sarah and grandson John Lowe; brother, Marvin Smith and wife Peggy; sisters, Althene Fredericks, Shirley Shepherd and husband James, Bonnie Fightmaster, and Velma Anderson; and sister-in-law, Dee Smith.

Lori also leaves behind a very special grand-dog, “Rossi”, who brought her much comfort and happiness.

Public visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 26, from 4:00-7:00 pm at Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home. Celebration of life service will be held in June 2021 for closest family and friends.
