Local residents snared in Knox drug roundup
Four Corbin residents and one Gray man were among eight drug-trafficking arrests Knox County Sheriff’s deputies made Tuesday morning.
According to Sheriff John Pickard, after several months of investigations by Chief Deputy Derek Eubanks, 14 arrest warrants were issued for individuals suspected of selling prescription drugs. Ten of those individuals reside in the Corbin and Gray areas of Knox County.
Controlled buys of marijuana, Oxycodone, Endocet, Hydrocodone and Xanax were made from the suspects, Pickard reported.
Individuals from the Corbin and Gray areas who were arrested and the charges they are facing include:
• Albert Mills, Jr., 44, Corbin, first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance and second-degree trafficking in a controlled substance
• Gary Terrell, 41, Corbin, second-degree trafficking in a controlled substance
• Martha Karr, 63, Corbin, first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance
• Keith Fritz, 24, Corbin, second-degree trafficking in a controlled substance
• James Eads, 27, Gray, first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance
Pickard stated that more arrests are expected in the near future
