Lexington man dies in crash in I-75 near Corbin Tuesday

A Lexington man was killed Tuesday night when he lost control of his SUV on Interstate 75, ran off the road and struck a tree.
Kentucky State Police Trooper Don Trosper, public affairs officer at Post 11 in London said, Brandon K. Wood, 28, of Lexington, was pronounced dead at the scene of the single-vehicle crash on northbound I-75 near the 21-mile marker about 11:50 p.m.. He was driving a 2002 Nissan Xterra SUV.
Wood was wearing a seatbelt. Trosper noted neither drugs nor alcohol are suspected to be factors in the crash.
Trooper David Lassister is continuing the investigation. He was assisted at the scene, by Whitley County Sheriff’s deputies, Oak Grove Fire Department, Whitley County EMS and Whitley County Coroner’s Office.
